Katy Salter is a writer and editor, specialising in food and travel. She contributes to The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Times, and most of the UK’s major food titles. In 2012 Stylist named Katy one of its ‘Top 20 Food Heroines’, alongside Mary Berry, Lorraine Pascale and Delia Smith… which was nice. She has been short-listed for several major awards for her journalism.
Katy is available for commissions, recipe development and remote-working projects. Before going freelance she spent four years as features editor of the award-winning Waitrose Food Illustrated Magazine. Katy is also an experienced web editor who ran the food channel of Goodtoknow.co.uk, one of the UK’s most visited women’s websites. More recently she was Freelance Food Editor of Netmums, and has done in-house web-editing stints for Sainsbury’s Magazine and Delicious. Katy also works with leading food and travel brands on copywriting, recipe development and web content.
Dairy-Free Delicious, her first cookbook, is available from all good bookshops and also has a US edition.
Katy lives with her family in Kent, where she drinks a lot of coffee.
